Melissa Hill of Wild Bird Centers spoke on attracting wild birds to your homes. She described the many different styles of bird houses and feeders available to attract our native birds, as well as best practices to attract the birds you want and discourage squirrels and other pests.
Melissa described how our residential and commercial development reduces the natural
habitat of our native birds and ways we can reduce the adverse effects with feeders.
There was a enthusiastic discussion and questions from our Rotary members on their efforts
to attract birds and their experiences with feeder programs.”
